/bump

I have had this prob for some time but never really looked into it.
I notice that (for me) it is also an issue with the following:

SAFARI
IEXPLORER
CHROME
and a couple others. It does not matter if I use the linux version (I dual boot) or windows, it will not load - only in firefox

Yes I am aware that there are users that are having no issues with the above programs (no need to reply if you are just using the "...xxxx program works for me" )

My question, is there a setting that FF is defaulted to that the other programs ARE NOT, I checked the flash, and java and they seem to be on. I am not that savy on all these browser.

any one have other suggestions to check?
FF is becoming a horrible browser (imho). And I would like to switch.

Some people are reporting problems in all sorts of browsers since the beginning of browser history, nothing is the matter with the browsers, just the users.

IE works well for absolutely nothing except Windows Update.
Opera runs well on simple pages
Safari is a port from OS X for people that don't understand Chrome
FF works well with everything the above failed to accomplish
Chrome as commercial as it might appear, is the most stable and diverse cross-operating system compatible and most secure browser out there currently. The one thing Chrome could have to really monopolize the browser market would be addons like FF uses, the automatic installation and management of addons like FF does would in fact make it the perfect browser. Greasemonkey on Chrome, now there's something to wish for. You can still use scripts in Chrome but you need to understand how scripting works in Chrome.

I am running 16 systems on XP, 2003 Server, Ubuntu 10.04, SLE 10 (SuSE). Funny that the most reliable systems already come with FF installed or have it readily available in repositories while the shitty backstabbing, 1001 flawed systems have IE pre-installed.

To answer the original question: YES, Of course, without any doubt, definately.

If you have any issues with any browser, learn how your PC works and fix it, unless the browser in question is IE then just slit your wrists and clap your hands.
